Naval Dockyard Limited (NDL) a foremost shipbuilding and fabrication yard in Nigeria is committed to enhancing Nigeria’s strategic self-reliance in the building, maintenance, and repairs of Naval/Merchant vessels. And, to develop expertise in design/building of ship and crafts.
This workshop is well equipped for carpentry, joinery and cabinet works. Seasoning and painting of wood are also carried out at the workshop. The workshop is capable of handling any customized wood works.
Facilities to cast non-ferrous material are available at the foundry. It is equipped with electric furnaces for melting, casting, moulding, and heat treatment.
With a mind for potential diversification, the Naval Dockyard Limited, also has an Electronic and Electrical workshop.
The Design Office of the Dockyard caters for the production of various conceptualized designs. The office is equipped with computers, plotter, digitizer and drawing equipment.
To enable the Yard function effectively, some facilities have been put in place to provide support services. A well equipped medical centre including a Dialysis section.
