NAVAL DOCKYARD LIMITED MEDICAL OUTREACH

On the 19 Dec 24, the Naval Dockyard Limited  conducted a successful medical outreach Kuromo Nursery and Primary school opposite Eko Hotel. The outreach offered free routine medical checks, free consulting services, dental care, public health advisory, medical lab-screening, eye checks/ issuance of glasses and free medication dispensary. The initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to residents of Iru community who may lack easy access to medical facilities. Doctors and healthcare professionals conducted general health screenings, including blood pressure checks, diabetes tests, and eye exams. The programme is part of the broader activities of the Nigerian Navy under the leadership of Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff to reach out to host communities in appreciation of their cooperation and support in the year.
 In addition, participants received free consultations and medical advice on maintaining better health. The event was part of the Naval Dockyard’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and improving the well-being of the host and nearby communities. The outreach was well-received, with many individuals taking advantage of the health services provided. By offering these essential services, Naval Dockyard Limited helped raise awareness about preventative healthcare in the region. The event also fostered a sense of community and encouraged people to take proactive steps in caring for their health.
